This is a vintage ad that I found on one of my former client’s websites (a modeling agency). This was their caption: “Wow how times have changed. Just think, what it would be like if your problem was that you had to add on 10 pounds.” Models today are so inundated with requests to lose a few pounds, take off a few inches here and there, all to represent some ideal of ‘beauty’.

Isn’t that crazy? Women just can’t seem to win, huh?
